چکیده
Scars are consequences of the wound healing process, and eliminating scar formation remains a significant challenge. Here, an injectable HMSC hydrogel was developed based on silk fibroin peptide grafted hydroxypropyl chitosan (HPCS-g-SFP) oxidized microcrystalline cellulose (OMCC) via Schiff base bonds. The synthesized HPCS-g-SFP copolymer displayed efficient free radical scavenging ability hydrogen hydroxyl radicals 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). pore size, gelling time, equilibrium swelling rate water retention properties could be regulated by changing ratio OMCC HPCS-g-SFP. Then, tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) encapsulated into to obtain TMP-loaded hydrogel. facilitated 95% cell activity after culturing with human skin fibroblasts (HSF) or hypertrophic fibroblast (HSFB) cells for 24 h. Additionally, in vivo animal experiments confirmed that promoted rapid while preventing formation. designed has potentials promoting scarless healing.

Hydrogels for Biomedical Applications: Cellulose, Chitosan, and Protein/Peptide Derivatives
Hydrogels based on polysaccharide and protein natural polymers are of great interest in biomedical applications and more specifically for tissue regeneration and drug delivery. Cellulose, chitosan (a chitin derivative), and collagen are probably the most important components since they are the most abundant natural polymers on earth (cellulose and chitin) and in the human body (collagen). Pepti...

Wound care is a perennial burden for the US healthcare system, costing an estimated $25 billion annually for the treatment of chronic wounds alone [1]. Problems surrounding scarring have also created a $12 billion market annually for treatment [2]. In the 1979 landmark study, Rowlatt et al. reported that human fetal wound healing did not cause scar formation [3]. Animal models were subsequently...
متن کاملPeptide-Modified Chitosan Hydrogels Accelerate Skin Wound Healing by Promoting Fibroblast Proliferation, Migration, and Secretion
Skin wound healing is a complicated process that involves a variety of cells and cytokines. Fibroblasts play an important role in this process and participate in transformation into myofibroblasts, the synthesis of extracellular matrix (ECM) and fibers, and the secretion of a variety of growth factors. This study assessed the effects of peptide Ser-Ile-Lys-Val-Ala-Val (SIKVAV)--modified chitosa...
متن کاملFabrication of Chitosan/Silk Fibroin Composite Nanofibers for Wound-dressing Applications
Chitosan, a naturally occurring polysaccharide with abundant resources, has been extensively exploited for various biomedical applications, typically as wound dressings owing to its unique biocompatibility, good biodegradability and excellent antibacterial properties. In this work, composite nanofibrous membranes of chitosan (CS) and silk fibroin (SF) were successfully fabricated by electrospin...

Silk fibroin (SF) and elastin (EL) scaffolds were successfully produced for the first time for the treatment of burn wounds. The self-assembly properties of SF, together with the excellent chemical and mechanical stability and biocompatibility, were combined with elastin protein to produce scaffolds with the ability to mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM). Porous scaffolds were obtained by lyop...
